Rosemount Australian Fashion Week

So we are now officially in day 3 of Fashion Week and I am sorry for no earlier posts but I have been working all week on the shows on site so it has been very full on!
So a quick update for now and at the end of the week I will do a full report!

Christopher Esber- His collection was my favourite from day 1. He changed the usual layout of the show by having the audience on one side so once the models had walked their final look they stood against the white wall and faced us! His collection featured a number of structured sheer garments that were revealing, sexy and seriously chic! These garments followed a very simple colour pallet making it easy to wear for all, and trust me everyone wants a piece of his stuff! Simple silhouettes made for a slight androgynous look! His collection was to Die for!!!!!

Alex Perry- Super stoked I actually got to attend this show as a guest rather than work at it! What a list of celebrities, everyone was there! The first thing that caught my breath was the size of the runway! It was Huge set up in a U shape in a large hall in fox studios! Camera crews filled the place! once everyone was seated the music started in full force then right at the beginning a spot light light up and the first face came out! as she walked another spotlight would light up creating an amazing effect! this year Perry's collection was full of beautiful pastels and bright zebra prints! There were short dresses long dresses, tulle skirt dresses, fitted dresses flowing dresses, it was all there and what a cast of models to carry it off! My one criticism is that someone should have picked up how bad the shoes were before the show! They were incredible high flimsy horrible things that even the best models like Samantha Harris were slipping in! This is a big problem when the girls slipping in the shoes are getting more attention then the actual dresses!

Keep updated and i will fill you in with more to come!

CHANEL Fall 2010/11 runway report

To all you fashion fans if you have not already, you MUST watch the Chanel Fall 2010/11 runway show!
Chanel takes the cake for the most extravagant runway for this season easily. Who else but Chanel would have giant icebergs dividing the runway that is in a shallow pool of water for the models to walk through! From oversized carousels and large farm yards to icebergs, what will Karl Lagerfeld come up with next!
Aside from the actual runway itself, the collection was amazing!
The usual winter colour palette was evident but still used brilliantly! The signature Chanel tweed was utilised with the uttermost elegance! Karl Lagerfeld is a genius and knows how to make a woman look and feel beautiful, elegant, sophisticated and sexy and this new collection is no exception!
Another incredible show!

Alexander Wang Fall 2010 Runway Report

Mr Wang you have done it again! Yet another outstanding Show for Fall 2010!
In true Wang style he has created beautiful garments that are styled to perfection on the runway! If you are a fan of leather, jersey, wool and even a sneaky touch of velvet this is the show for you! I don't know how he manages to put so many different fabrics together and it just works! I've found there are a few more feminine garments this season than his previous few. Some beautiful gathering and pleating is seen through the centre of the garments that creates a stunning silhouette of the female body. As usual there is something for everyone, from the girly girl to the tom boy!
Alexander Wang I love you!

In the Army

Time to get down an dirty people because combat is in! These boots are like the chameleon of shoes! I have seen so many of these boots around sydney at the moment but not once have I seen the same outfit with them! Grunge them up with some wet look leggings and a T-shirt with an oversized vest or go opp shopping and find a cute floral dress that your Nanna would have worn in the 50's. Best of all they are comfortable!

Naomi in 'LuLu in Chains' Sydney

I love this image of Naomi! She glows with confidence as she is perfectly poised at the Autumn Races in Sydney. People can't take their eyes off her and her amazing dress designed by LuLu in Chains.
